Took Out Above Ground Pool, Technique for leveling for new lawn?

Within the last month I removed the deck and 12 x 24 4 foot pool in my backyard.

Now I am left with the dirt area, that needs to be leveled.

There is a lot of coving material around the edges, but is there a technique to help level this., Maybe a long 2x4 to screed across to fill in low spots.
