This speculation all started with a post by a food blogger. The times we live in are strange.
I was in the media/staff parking lot at the Kings arena back in early 2000 something. I witnessed one of the Maloof brothers pulling up in a blue Ferrari convertible 2 seater. As he got out of the car, 3 young ladies emerged from the other seat. I was fully expecting a gal or two to emerge from the tiny trunk.
They sold off all but 2% in their Palms Casino in Vegas and their beverage distributorship. The Monarchs WNBA team was a big money loser. The Maloofs have been in some financial disarray so it would not be surprising that they are looking to sell to cover their losses.
It is my belief that when they leave Sacramento, the last Kings vehicle out of the lot will be that a Ferrari convertible, top down, loaded with gals and a Maloof brother flipping the bird.
