Water under the bridge now, but it would have been a better outcome for everyone involved if you had taken care of it when they were beginning to build the nest.

How high above your heads? If it's pretty high up, you might be able to leave it alone. On the other hand, in my experience they will probably become more aggressive and protective as time goes on.
