LPA begins an assault in the Southern Philippines . . .

Thanks DP it was another sunny and dry early morning here.
Some cloud cover is drifting in now. I've felt like we would
be getting some rain here soon, yet Central Luzon is rather
dry and warm.

We are quite safe here so far.

I am happy that Lilian's family has elected to spend the rest of January with us.
Her older brother Joey has found a decent job as a Security Guard close to where
we are now and closer to our new apartment.

My concerns are for those still left in the remote regions and provinces of the
Southern Philippines. Coastal communities and mountainous river valleys will
likely be gravely affected by this new storm.
