I found that I got used to the new interface pretty quickly. But I didn't have years of familiarity with the previous iOS versions to make the transition difficult.

I have far less of a problem with the iOS 7 look and feel than I have with some of the changes made to the Mac OS starting with Lion...

I had a similar experience, going from iOS 3 to 7. Lack of familiarily breeds acceptance?

Frankly, while 7 may have some issues, if it didn't look radically different, it might have seemed a bit "old hat," but that's a subjective assessment.

I have a bigger problem with the way iOS may (or may not) handle under the hood issues related to the file system, and file management. There are still housekeeping tasks that the OS doesn't perform properly, and because of its restrictiveness, users have to go through tortured methods to clean up the mess that can be left behind.

iOS 8 should be interesting. I hope Apple relaxes some of the iron grip with regard to certain aspects, and NIH syndrome.

Mac OS is another story...
