I haven't been following these a lot lately. But I'm not exactly sure what people are so excited about. For $99, you can get a refurb 12" MBP that has
- Better processor
- Better graphics
- Same RAM
- 128GB instead of 256GB storage
- Lower res, but still retina display
Wow, neither have I, apparently.
Never mind, no optical drive.
What is this "optical drive" of which you speak?
What's not to like?
Pure genius.
If you need to schlep an external optical drive and a bagful of adapters, along with a very thin, very lightweight computer, then you're too stupid to buy the right machine for the right job.
Geeze.
I don't use Photoshop or Elements, but the MB handles Pixelmator well enough, and that works for me.
It is what it is. I don't understand the desire to see it as something isn't, and then criticize it.
Oh, wait...
If I had known that I could have saved $150, I might have waited to get mine. But having used it for a couple of months, I'm not hurting at all. I'm really happy with it.
I had to go back to my Late 2007 BMB for some stuff and it was almost painful to look at that screen.
