What I don't understand is how some international shippers, esp from China, can ship stuff to here so cheaply... I've bought several smallish items on Amazon that come from overseas, that cost less delivered to my door than I could hope to pay just for postage to ship back overseas... dopey me often doesn't look closely at the "ship from" info on Amazon, I just add to cart based on Amazon's listing the vendor at the top of the list. Of course when I eventually check tracking via an Amazon confirm email, then I realize where the item is really coming from; doh.

Usually they are getting discount rates for bulk and they toss your purchased item in a shipping container and your package moves not before the shipping container is full. Be it air or ship container. Luckily in most instances those containers fill fairly quick.
