TLB... I'm not drying mine, because it lives in the shower.
I shave in the shower so the beard hairs are nice and damp and softened. It's not for everybody... I can shave without seeing myself in the mirror, but I admittedly often miss a little patch under my chin, so I use my fingerips to feel for stubble. I haven't bought shaving cream for 10 years.. I just apply body wash to the face, then wash the rest of my pudgy body, and then shave.
I do rinse the blades off after use. Stropping them removes oxidation.
