"subverting audience expectations"
As I've seen zero mention of the movie prior to Lizabeth's recommendation, I had no expectations.
And with a title like The Man Who Killed Hitler and Then The Bigfoot, I don't know what expectations a viewer would feel they should have or how they could feel they've been mislead.
But- I didn't see how the movie was billed, or any trailers.
I have a real problem with trailers created/edited to show the movies as one genre (I don't mind if the movie does it), when it's really another.
Like showing a trailer for Precious as a comedy.
Actually, as wrong as that would be, it would make me POMTL.
