I will probably replace the washer because I don't want to swap the gasket

LG front loader. Not sure how old. has WiFi, so it can't be that old.

Model WM3470HWA

Door gasket is crap, full of mold, no amount of cleaning will fix it. I found the gasket for around $120 (probably + shipping) and a 6 minute video on how to do it.

so I am thinking for a few hundred more I can get a new washer, warranty, and avoid the labor. Plus with my luck, something else will break next.

I am not in a rush to do it, I can wait a sale. I don't know anyone who could use the washer. Some of my friends have better units, and those who could use it are unable to repair it, or would ask me questions later. So I'll probably just recycle it.
