As COVID was ramping up this fall, we had a family conference call to talk about the holidays. Since we knew the situation was just going to get worse, we decided to celebrate Thanksgiving together and skip Christmas. We met at a family cabin and observed strict masking and social distancing. We even ate outside around a fire bowl (temps in the 30’s but sunny). It turned out to be our best Thanksgiving ever! Christmas will be virtual and hopefully we will be able to get together again by late spring or summer.
