Ditto us for TG and Xmas. No thanks, miss my fam but we all gotta do the right thing. I made dinner and dropped it off at my Ma's house for TG (Ma and younger sis were there, masked). Wife and I stayed and chatted for 10 minutes at 8' distance in large open room (with outside doors also open) inside, all of us masked. Then we skedaddled.
Will do something similar for Xmas. Older sis invited us all for dinner at her place. No effing way. I am floored that she still dines in at restaurants with friends, and her hubs goes to bars for darts.
Still trying desperately to get my younger sis to quit her side gig which is teaching med students. And ditto for my mom who plays cards with her friends weekly. Yes they are masked but to me, being in a single enclosed room with non-roomies for more than 15 minutes, even masked/shielded, isn't a great idea unless that is your actual, essential job. Ugh.
