in re-reading the initial post....
LG 5K straight to the M1 MacBook Pro - will fully power your laptop no problem.
The LG has a webcam, mic, and speakers built in - but are you using other, separates for all or some of those functions?
3 x USB C port Hub on the LG can easily be adapted to USB-A ports with the adapter you have - any decent USB C to A adapter like:

Yes - can use your Hub via an adapter - either off the computer's other C port or should be fine off one of the LG 5K ports as well.
That's a lot of USB devices there. Use a good hub for sure.

Well, my M1 MBP finally made it off the ship at Long Beach, and I have my LG 5G monitor too.
Of course I have USB speakers, a microphone, a webcam, a scanner, another scanner, a MIDI gadget, a Griffin PowerMate, a Wacom tablet, and sometimes I prefer using a wired mouse.
So the MBP notoriously has only two Thunderbolt 3 ports. But, that's fine for me, I just need peripherals when it's used a desktop machine. So it's hooked up to the monitor. And the monitor has 3 USB-C ports.
I need at least three -- preferably more -- USB ports. I have a USB C to USB adapter and it works fine for my microphone.
Can I just get a normal old USB hub, hook it up to the monitor with the USB C to USB adapter? It shouldn't need to be a powered hub, right?
Thanks!
PS The MBP, it's great but there's some wonkiness & I can't wait for native software
