The confederate flag in the Capitol

I suppose I've grown used to the confederate flags all over the place. That didn't shock me.

I was shocked by the number of people wearing Nazi paraphernalia and "Six Million Weren’t Enough” shirts and covered in swastika tattoos standing right next to people waving American flags.
This could reflect something about how the confederate flag appears to you vs. other symbols, too. Nazi paraphernalia and messages strike a stronger chord with some folks, and would be hard to get "used to" no matter how common they were.
