Michigan State University quantines students in the dorms
#4
UIUC in Champaign IL is full in-person since August. They had to lock everything down after 3 weeks because students who tested positive would still go out and party.

The President tried to demand the police enforce their orders. The police told him that there are no laws being broken and ended up dragging the President around to see for himself all of the parties on Greek row and in non U housing.

They then imposed strict ‘go back to Chicago’ rules for those breaking the policy, enforced politely by student leaders and a new zero tolerance policy by administration.

Students still get tested twice a week last I checked. And sewage from dorm rooms etc are also tested etc. This surveillance and testing protocol has now been offered to the nearby city residents.

It’s very hard to ve COVID positive and not be informed at UIUC.

You CAN make a safe zone bubble around COVID in the US. Takes leadership. The testing protocol is not very expensive in relation to other costs. UIUC gave their testing protocol away last June. There literally is no reason a top university with a life science research arm doesn’t follow except for lack of leadership.
