Amazon totally jumps the shark on packaging this time
#15
i toured the Chattanooga facility. the workers don't have a choice about packaging. the goods come to them on a belt and they have instructions what to put them in. an algorithm decides what the packaging is going to be and prepares the label for them. it would cut into efficiency if a real person had to make a choice every time. sometimes when it's really out of whack the worker can report it for future reference.

This.

All of this.

My buddy's daughter worked at the Fremont CA AMZ facility for almost a year, and told me all of the above.

Ok, she didn't know that gl torued the Chattanoga facility, but she gave me the same intel that gl saw.

I've ordered button cells from AMZ a few times, and swear at least once or twice they were shipped in a plastic padded AMZ envelope and not third-party.
