Plug-in hybrids are underrated for near-term transition for those in cities and subrubs that aren't overly sprawled. With a 30 mile range, I would be able to do the majority of my routine weekday travel on EV, but have the ICE at the ready for longer journeys.

But no one is even trying to ship plug-ins to my market. I am not confident that will change even if the chips catch up.
