Why does Apple make setting a damn Alarm on the iPhone so complicated?
#17
So let's review:

There are two simple way to set an alarm, for one day, week days, or week ends (AS IF!)

There is no simple way to have an Apple alarm start a podcast.

There apparently is no way for an Apple alarm to start a podcast, nor is this a feature claimed of the Apple alarm clock.

Paul originally use clock radio to awaken in time to listen to a podcast, presumable activating it himself.

Now, his 'Phone can replace that functionality, but can't yet start a podcast.

I'd think if my 'Phone woke me in time to listen to a podcast, I could access it slightly quicker than by using a clock-radio, then moving to the 'Phone.

Selecting a song or ringtone as an alarm tone is a feature of the Clock app.

I'd also be interested if the Short Cuts app, provided by Apple, has given Paul a viable option to wake up to a podcast.
