Before I retired from "The Buick", production workers always had the week off between Christmas and New Years Day. Maybe a day or two more or less depending on what day Christmas fell on.
It was totally different once I became a tradesman at the site. Weekends and Holidays were ALWAYS busy. I remember one year back in the early nineties we worked every single day of the year. We earned big money weekends and Holidays and had very little time to spend it!
Semi retired now, with my investments and my small mini storage business. I'm always on call for that, so no Holiday break, but thankfully, my tenants aren't too demanding.
