my fridge is freezing my food

What's the freezer temp like, compared to what it's set at. If for some reason it's struggling to get the freezer to it's desired temp, it might be dropping the fridge section below it's set temp as a side effect, since it's really the freezer that's in charge of making everything cold.

And is there an ice maker and is it trying to make lots of ice? Our fridge seems to force the freezer into a super cold mode for some length of time starting when the ice maker fills with water, so if it's constantly making ice, it's going to remain super cold until the ice bin is full.
