If Harris was going to win by a KO, there would be more signs of it. There's no lying about it, Trump is still going strong, very strong.
All these YouTube videos breathlessly gabbling about Trump looking ridiculous and spouting gibberish [I'm looking at you David Pakman] totally miss the point and really only serve as donuts at the rally if the blue faithful.
This buffoonish character is his big gun for cementing and growing his base. It's mother's milk to them, swaddling them in their retrograde beliefs.
But, no, he hasn't got it wrapped up either. It's to his advantage that it's the swing states still in play. From what I've heard, when hanging in a close balance, those states tend to go conservative.
But the flip side to the game Trump is playing is that, well, he's hideous. Offensive to anyone of substantive common sense and humanity.
He's done and said horrendous things. His actions have caused and continue to cause misery and death. And outside the MAGA/Q bubble there is great anger and determination and fear of what he promises to bring if he gets a second bite at the apple.
The groundswell that is so often missed by pollsters could very well be what buries him.
