drilling holes in hard drives

Do you know what size and type of screwdriver is needed for those screws?

Most likely Torx. Depending on whether those are 3.5 or 2.5" drives, you may be looking at T5, T6, T8 if I were to guess. I got a bunch of drives in the basement I could look at but my guess is the actual size depends on the make/model so better to have a kit handy. Also those could be "security" Torx, the one with a pin in the middle.
