Makes me wonder if that isn't just the first gunshot into the news to let people know that the Mac OS CAN be run on an Intel Machine (for the masses) - and that the true profits that result from software will become Apple's to license as an OS to the world.
You buy the machine for hardware quality, but you can still pay $100 for the vapor of a 2 cent DVD with $99 profit margin (instead of 9% or whatever they make on machines) and sell 100,000,000 copies to run on all the rest out there.
