OT: Why do repair guys do the "We'll be there between 8:00 and 12:00)
#2
I think most repair/service/cable people allow a certain amount of time for the call. . .BUT depending on what is wrong it may take more time than they estimate. ..and for repair people anyway. . .time is money. . .

Recently, had a Sears repair guy come. . .he was very "time aware" he told me what he thought was wrong and offered options. . .he seemed annoyed when I tried to ask further questions. . .

he was never really rude but I felt that the "jeopardy" clock was tickin in the background. . .his attitude was like. ..make a decision now!

Some doctors do the same thing. . .overbook and then the patient is forced to wait 1 hour or more because the doctor WAY overbooked to get as much money as possible. . ..
