Amazon has been doing this for some time. Yes, it's manipulation, trying to motivate you to buy before the price goes up again, or as a "you should have bought then..." reminder.
But this is *not* the same practice as before, when different people got different prices for the same product. THAT's what they got spanked for.
On the other hand, there's *nothing* wrong with giving you a better price than the next guy, to induce you to buy something already in your cart. I don't know that they do that, at all.
But there have been some price drops that were lower than when I put the items in my cart, and that's made made me spend.
