SuperDuper screws up icons, files won't open
#4
Disk being copied was, and is, worrking fine. Ran First Aid and DW on it and niether indicated any problems. So hardly an "obviously unstable" situation - anyhow, if the disk does have hidden problems. wouldn't a true cloner just make a similarly damaged copy (or better, refuse to try!) rather than pretending to clone it, while introducing new errors of its own?

[quote BigGuynRusty]Sounds like there was a major problem with the HD before you started, CCC wouldn't work, so instead of investigating the problem, you used SuperDuper on an obviously unstable situation.
