anyone have any trouble with paypal payment, unverified address?

I've sent a couple small ticket items to unconfirmed addresses (less than $12), and after establishing a relationship with an eBay seller, they have shipped me product to an unverified address (it was a gift to my father, yet paid through my verified account).

I would be wary for big ticket. It certainly seems much safer to stick to confirmed addresses.
