Is DSL ISP# changeable?

GGD, You may indeed be partly correct in that I am estimating my DL speed using Safari and Firefox, however, even with dialup I get 6 kbps. I would expect to do better than 8 times better than dialup.


Also, as I posted above with speedtest.com,

I called the verizon line and tried a little experiment. I removed my
phone (and its appropriate dsl filter) from the second jack socket
that is shared with the modem (that's how they told me to set it up)
and was able to do a little better- DL speed rose from 50 to 80
kbpd.
