I just installed a Viewsonic VA2226W on my G4 (ATI radeon 9600 pro, 64Mb) and since I've criticized using lcds for image editing, I thought I give this one a good mark, esp for $239 after a viewsonic $30 rebate (PCNation -- 8 on the resellerratings -- no s&h). This viewsonic model got a very good review for an economy large lcd. I'd still go for a crt if it were 8" deep for my photoshop work, but I can't complain with this lcd.
Lcds out of the box require calibrating. Both my Samsung 931c and this Viewsonic were calilbrated with the Spyder2 suite. I found the calibration systems, or OSDs, that came with the lcds pretty useless, especially for brightness and contrast.
