Soft contact lenses and water?

That's actually a problem you're not going to have to worry about much. If you get something in your eye it's unlikely to get under the lens or stuck to the lens. I've worn soft lenses for years and very very seldom have to take one out for that reason. Tap water won't kill your lenses but it's also not sterile so avoid it if you can. I always cary around some rewetting drops. A few drops of that will usually wash away whatever the problem is.
