Really no offense here Kiva because I know your heart is in the right place but I really
don't think you really did your friend any favors talking them into a mac to run windows
programs unless they are a bit of a tech geek on some level and especially if you are
not willing to be their tech support.
Parallels is hardly plug and play and this is likely going to be an ongoing problem for this person
who will be sitting out in the middle of nowhere without tech support.
If they are going to switch to the mac get them to make the break from windows and be done with it.
IIRC the only windows program they needed was MS Publisher - or is there something else
that was not available on the mac side ?
