I am sure they will always sell models without cameras to cater to the Gov/Health sector where such devices are not allowed behind certain doors.
For the most part, these cameras are relatively stationery...sans face tracking. Many places already have a messaging system in place (MS Communicator...even Polycom for video...though cost-prohibitive for individuals setups)...and this will easily allow companies to add video to such systems that are text/audio only.
