Is there a quick way to crop a lot of portraits? (batch processing help)
#8
For future sessions the easiest way to get a consistent head size is to have reference marks in the viewfinder.
Since you didn't mention what camera you are using this may or may not apply.

Head size is going to vary from person to person (less so with kids) but what I have done in the past
is to cut a mask (probably not practical on a small camera) or have used a Sharpie with an extra fine point
and marked it on a piece of clear tape.

Mark top of head and chin and adjust camera (move or zoom) to hit the two marks.
Your cropping will at least be consistent (so faster) and file size will also be consistent.

Not automatic but certainly a lot faster than fishing around.
