PPC uses Apple Partition Map... Intel Macs need GUID volumes to boot from. UnTrue, MacIntels can boot from GUID or APM.
Small detail that trips up a lot of folks.
Don't try to do a FirmWare update on a MacIntel while booted from an APM disc though!
You'll totally screw up things!
MacFact.: Leopard Install Disc is APM formatted!!
