22" big enuff?

I've read that all 22" LCDs use TN panels, which are not known for their color accuracy. In fact, the majority of them are only 6-bit panels (I'm not sure which, if any, are 8-bit). For the price you paid, you probably got one.

If you want a good LCD display for color editing, you have to do a lot of research and be prepared to throw down some coin. Some 20" displays are good, some not so much. Some 24" displays are pretty good, some not so much. Usually the more expensive displays use better panels. I personally don't believe in cheaping out on a display no matter what kind of work you do, but that's just me.

How do your colors look for you after using the calibrator?
