I have never succeded in getting an absolute color match between monitor and printer for one print after the other. There always are variations between the color source embedded in the image (or subsequent conversion), photoshop's proofing setup, and the printer profiler. That was true with crt's as well, though the LaCie electron blue IV was about as good as it got. I haven't tried to profile the viewsonic with a printer as yet, but for an economy large screen the color is o.k. Maybe led's will resolve some problems.
