How to clean dog poop that's on little stones?

So, we've got some little stones laid down in an area of the yard where grass doesn't grow.

Naturally, there's now dog poop on the stones.

Poop-scooping isn't a great idea, because everything sticks together, you see. I don't want to throw the stones away.

What about blasting everything with a hose? Poop breaks apart, falls between stones, um...is that a good idea?
