dick cheney was the president of halliburton, the very company that received the single largest no-bid contract during bush's iraq fiasco. guess what? halliburton had record profits.
john mccain earliest supporters in the senate was charles keating whose lincoln savings and loan had record earnings. it was later found out that mccain (and others) were involved in improperly supporting keating. though mccain was not indicted he was criticized by the senate ethics committee for having "poor judgement" (their words not mine)
