That's an interesting idea. I know people who are openly racist, and yet when they are dealing with someone they've gotten to know who happens to be black they treat them with genuine affection. Seems contradictory but somehow they separate their prejudices for a group from a known individual. Maybe as Obama becomes more familiar they are starting to think he's not a real ****** but more like that nice black guy who owns the pharmacy and they see at the Rotary every week.
Food for thought. Familiarity certainly breeds tolerance.
According to your logic, every additional minute of "face time" Obama gets in red territory helps him, i.e. the boatload of advertising ought to pay off.
