We have lots of weeds coming up between and around the pavers I laid down a few years ago. At the time, I thought I was doing things right by digging several inches deep, laying down landscape fabric, then a few inches of sand on top of the fabric, then the pavers, but the damn weeds keep coming back, and I'm getting annoyed.
Should I deal with them the fun way (flamethrower), the chemical way (Round-Up or the like), or the PITA way (remove pavers, pull the weeds, lay down new landscape fabric, fresh sand, re-lay pavers? I'm going to pull up the plastic landscape edging that I put down anyway, because that has seen the wrath of the lawnmower a few times and is coming apart in several places.
Bear in mind, I want to do this as cheaply as possible, but I'd like to get more than a few months without weeds out of whatever I do.
So whaddya think?
