Dad just called and said my mom is having a tough time the past few days remembering recent events (as in, she doesn't remember at all)...phone conversations from yesterday, conversations with him today, even an out-of-town trip to see relatives last week. She is only 64. I told him to call her family doctor and ask them what to do, i.e., they'd give a referral to I'm guessing maybe a neuro (?) person who can run CTs, MRIs, etc. I stressed (calmly) to get this call in today and that if he didn't get some traction within 24 hours, then we'd figure out who else to call.
I know this could be something very simple and treatable, or maybe not. I am hoping and praying for the best. Just wanted to know if anyone here has any experience/advice with this type of thing since I know several of us are seniors or have parents who are.
Thank you sincerely.
