how to find out "about this mac" on a mac running umbuntu only?

i need to know how to get basic "about this mac" hardware info (processor, installed ram, installed hd, etc.) on a macbook that has only umbuntu installed. the machine is not in my possession and the owner knows a little, but likely not too much, about umbuntu.
i'll appreciate any assistance. |
