but the BOTTOM LINE is that we need to correct the DISASTROUS course we are headed on, and the republicans, who got us into this mess, are doing no good for this country.

Doesn't sound like a "middle of the road" talk to me. Have something bad to say about Democrats by any chance? That doesn't surprise me. Liberals routinely call themselves "moderate" and "undecided" but you listen to them and it won't be long before you know who they are.
I lived in the San Francisco Bay Area most of my life (not currently) and yes, I had PLENTY to say about "democrats" there. Does that surprise you? I consider myself 60%/40%, left leaning. For as upset I am with people on the left for spending time debating whether or not to make the area a nuclear free zone or for not having a spine when dealing with Bush, I am DOUBLY critical of the right, as they held the real power for most of Bush's term and they led us down the path we are on. Spin this however you want, but to a person, all of my friends/colleagues that are STAUNCH republicans could not stand Bush and his lack of fiscal responsibility. My accountant would not vote Dem if you held a gun to his head, yet would spit nails when talking about all the money he gave away to his friends, err...spent on the war.

It was always insulting when I heard that, during Bush, to disagree with the president was somehow un-American. Yet you get people making statements like Rep. Pete Sessions of Texas about "fighting like the Taliban":

Would you defend his sentiments?
