On the plus side of the night, I made a hell of a shot playing pool. The cue ball was about two inches behind the eight ball, on a straight line to the only other ball I had to sink, which was kissing the rail a few inches from a corner pocket. I actually "hopped" the cue ball over the eight, and sunk the ball. And this was in the midst of my second Cosmo! That may be a routine shot for you regular players, but I haven't played pool in almost as long a time as I've had several drinks in a row. The other guys were duly impressed.
