Weeds coming up between pavers

If you don't mind using strong chemicals, there are some that will make it so that nothing grows there for a year or so. BTW, if you have sand between the pavers, you will always have weeds that will grow there. I have landscape fabric with a layer of stone over top in a dry creek bed feature, no dirt at all on top, and weeds still come up here and there.
