The hummingbirds have arrived!
#7
In March, I start watching the hummingbird migration northward at
http://www.hummingbirds.net/map.html
which indicates that they arrive in the area in March. I don't usually see them until July, and true to form, it has been just the last week or two that they've come to the feeder at a time when I see them. I have any number of plants that they like so some of the time they may be at the plants instead of the feeders.

It's hard to know just when they leave but it won't be for a few weeks yet. I've watched the fights and territorial protection but one time several years ago I did have five hovering at one time. I guess the dominant bird was elsewhere that day.
