I'm a big fan, but I think a fair amount of the funniest repartee gets edited in afterwards, as the panelists think of what they wish they'd said.

Love it and have been to a taping. Tickets were surprisingly costly, but worth it. FWIW, the show i saw taped aired without any extra material edited in.
