Romney's "Made in Detroit" ad? He's driving a Chrysler made in Canada

That's not a bus. It's a red herring.

The big black bus is one of a matching pair.

The bus, one of two acquired by the Secret Service earlier this year, is government property and will be part of the "protective fleet" used by the Secret Service to transport any official, dignitary, presidential candidate or protectee, officials said.

If Mittens is the presidential nominee he'll get to ride one later in the year.

OK, back to Mittens' team thinking that he will impress the voters of Michigan with a Canadian built automobile.

Jason Linkins picked up the story this afternoon and there is a pretty funny discussion about it at HuffPo.

All things considered, this entire thread was kind of a waste of time.

Well, I think Grace made a good point about the apparent failure of some very highly paid pollitical handlers. I certainly wouldn't be happy about that performance by my team. When put in context with some other gaffes, it certainly reinforces the notion the Romney is rather tone deaf. Bearing that in mind, a developing horse race between competency and a train wreck in his campaign makes for interesting viewing.
