RYF: Free Today Only, Aiseesoft Blu-Ray to MP4 Ripper
#11
I've been converting "Moon" with this software for 3 hrs and 3 mins and it still has 18 mins left to go.
I'll probably revert back to MakeMKV and HandBrake at this pace. It's the only thing running on the iMac.

Does this software include subtitles in the resulting mp4? Soft or hard subtitles?

Soft - the subtitles can be turned on and off, and you can have multiple languages.
Hard - where the subtitles become part of the video and can't be turned off.

The full version was on Giveaway of the Day June 17, 2011. I would guess it will be repeated again, you just need to tolerate signing up for alerts.

Won't the same code work on either platform's software? After I completed the requested information I got a link to choose which version I wanted. I downloaded both.

So technically wouldn't an install on my PC and one on my Mac work with the same code? Or do I need two different codes depending on the platform used?

I downloaded both, I wonder if the Mac code also works for Windows...

According to the SD thread, it doesn't.

MakeMKV works great but it's $50 now and you still need to run the MKV through HandBrake to make it an MP4.

As I said in the other thread, MakeMKV is still free (for as long as it's in beta). You just have to go into their forums to find the current registration code (they expire periodically).
