I've met a girl
#11
Very similar circumstances for me. Cancer took my wife of forty years in 2010. She insisted I plan on remarrying as she was afraid I would become a lonely recluse.

I reconnected with an old friend from college in 2011 (she was also widowed). We married this year and we are very happy. Life does go on. I hope things work out as well for you.

Good for you! We're capable of loving a lot of people in very different ways. Just enjoy yourself.

Build a solid friendship. I am still friends with two former lovers because we had connections that went beyond a relationship with sex.
Even casual friendships become more important to me as I grow older.

And good luck—I hope this works out for you in the best possible way.

This sounds wonderful. I would hope if I go first, my Husband would remarry. He's such a great man, but much better with a partner, I want him to be happy. Best of luck, and keep us posted.

some men (myself included) might do better with a partner, just to keep us in check, on the right course, etc.

hope all goes well, even if it's not with her.

So glad to hear that Drew! Wishing you all the best!

Things are going well for me too! Have met a very beautiful, loving, kind and considerate woman. I have a family that is very supportive. Very grateful for that!

The odds are certainly in our favor at this age. Especially for those of us without baggage and who have taken care or ourselves. I tell my daughter that I feel like George Clooney (OK so maybe I am delusional) in terms of confidence.
